In this video, Dr. Ramneek Mahajan, Director - Orthopedics & Joint Replacement, Max Smart Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi, will discuss the types of implants and also talk about how to choose an implant. He discuss that the choice of implants should be by the surgeons because the surgeon will choose such implants which has promising results as reported in the various registries. He will also further discuss about particular types of implants where patient comes with lot of deformities and they require additional support of rods etc. Also many a times patient comes with the history of metallic allergies, then which implants are to be used, he will discuss.

Worked extensively in Primary Hip, Knee and Revision Joint Replacement. Took up the public position as Head of Orthopaedics at the Nova Specialty Hospital, Kailash Colony from 2010 to 2014. Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Fortis Hospital from 2009 to 2014.
