What is a total knee replacement?
In this video, Dr. Ramneek Mahajan, Director - Orthopedics & Joint Replacement, Max Smart Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi will discuss about total knee replacement in this video. He explains that the total knee replacement is done when the disease process has occurred in more than one compartment. He further states that there is a tibial, femoral component and a base plate made up of polyethylene and sometimes occasionally the patellar button is also replaced. If the patella is not involved then it is not replaced.
