How do I decide which foods produce gas inside the body?

In this video, Dr. K K Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and Group Editor in Chief MEDtalks, talks about foods which produces gas in the body. Ayurveda and Vedic science explains this concept. It says that any food which can be split into two equal parts will produce gas if eaten raw or without soaking them in water. Dal, pulses, beans, rajma, etc. are gas producing foods. They need to be soak for few hours before cooking. While cooking these foods, asafoetida or hing is added as it has anti-gas effect.
