Discuss hernia and its management?

In this video, Dr. Shiv Chopra, General Surgery Senior Consultant, Mool Chand Hospital, New Delhi, will talk about hernia and its management. Hernia is basically due to certain weakness of abdominal wall or manmade creations such as smoking, obesity, sedentary lifestyle. Treatment is to reduce the defect with some prosthetic material known as mesh. He will further explain about mesh which is used to strengthen the abdominal wall. Also, he will discuss why it is important to evaluate the patient properly before the surgery.
