What everybody should know about dental infection?
In this video, Dr. Mahesh Verma, Padma Shri Awardee, President of Indian Academy of Restorative Dentistry (IARD) and Vice President of Dental Council of India, will talk and explain about dental infection, in this video. Dental disease are very common in humans. Dental infection is also one of the reason of losing teeth and having complications. Dr. Mahesh tells us that dental infection is any infection between the teeth and the gums. The main cause of dental infection is tooth decay or dental caries and gum diseases. He also explains how these conditions progress to an advanced stages. Dental infections can occur post-surgery or any trauma to the jaw, teeth or the surrounding tissues. The dental infection can lead to abscess formation. He will further discuss about the symptoms of dental infection which are throbbing pain, sensitivity, pain during chewing and biting, fever, swelling, etc.
