381 Doctors Posted In Delhi Health Department Were Offered No Promotion Over The Last 4 Years

A few of these doctors have brought forward their concerns over the lack of promotions in the past years. Further, those who offered their services during the COVID-19 pandemic have not received any incentive from the government.

In lieu of the tremendous work pressure that doctors face, the government should implement protocols for endowing regular salary hikes and incentives for doctors - to keep up their enthusiasm for serving patients. Reportedly, an implementation is awaited despite the promotion-related discussions, which concluded in April 2022.

Earlier, the Delhi government had promised an incentive to healthcare workers who offered services during the pandemic.
