What is inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST)?

In young females, without thyroid disorders or anemia, the heart rate is more than 100 beats per minute and mean heart rate of 24 hours is more than 90 beats per min or with slight exertion, the heart rate is inappropriate. This is known as the sinus inappropriate tachycardia. These people are generally symptomatic, have palpitations, etc. they are treated with meditation and breathing exercises as there is no active disease present.
