What are the common situations where antibiotics are used in the agriculture industry?
In this video, Dr. Sunil Gupta, Additional Director, NCDC, will discuss about the common situations where antibiotics are used in agriculture industry. Besides the plants, agriculture industries include small animals like poultry, food or non-food purposes etc. In poultry, there is lot of antibiotics used specially colistin which is meant for human. Also, he will highlight the issue where farmers also inject antibiotics in plants for healthy and larger crops which is a wrong way of using antibiotics.
