Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission – 50 Lakh Tokens Issued

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) introduced the ABHA-enabled faster OPD registration service for patients through the Scan & Share functionality. This service allows patients to instantly generate tokens for OPD consultations by scanning unique QR codes displayed at participating hospitals. Over 300 Indian health facilities have adopted the service, which has helped over 50 lakh patients to save time and effort by facilitating paperless registration. Some leading states using this facility are Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Karnataka. Patients can use the ABHA app or other supported apps to scan QR codes and share their ABHA profile, completing the registration without filling out physical forms. This has made OPD registration seamless, accurate, and efficient, benefiting patients and hospitals.
