What should be done if there is bleeding from the ear?

In this video, Dr. Nishi Gupta, Head department of ENT, Dr. Shroffs Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi, will talk about the necessary steps to be taken if bleeding from the ear occurs. She informs that in such case, try to keep the ear dry and do not try to clean the ear. Seek immediate attention. If there is mild infection then it can be cured. But in accidental case, there can be fracture of the temporal bone or simple laceration of the skin of the external auditory canal. She tells that in some cases, the facial nerve is damaged during accident. Depending on the examination and findings, appropriate treatment is initiated.
