What serious problems occur during a discharge?

In this video, Dr. Nishi Gupta, Head department of ENT, Dr. Shroffs Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi, will discuss the serious problems which are related to discharge from the ear. The problems of the ear are related to the duration of discharge. If shorter the duration such as acute suppurative otitis media, then it can be managed with medical treatment. She will also discuss if the discharge is of chronic origin such as chronic suppurative otitis media, then it is treated with the help of otoscopic findings. Dr. Nishi will explain how the otoscope helps in getting the picture of the ear drum and according to its findings, the doctor decides whether the patient needs any surgical intervention.
