What is Retinal Detachment?

In this video, Dr. Manisha Agarwal, Vitreo-retina surgeon, Dr. Shroffs Charity Hospital, New Delhi, will talk on retinal detachment. Retinal detachment is where the whole retina detaches from its normal position. Dr. Manisha will also talk about the symptoms which are generally seen during retinal detachment. The symptoms are sudden drop of vision, a black curtain in front of the eyes. The earliest symptoms are a lot of floaters are seen in front of the eyes which are like black spots. If these symptoms are present, a thorough retinal check-up is done to diagnose retinal detachment.
