What is refractive error and what are the causes of refractive error?

In this video, Dr. Suma Ganesh, Head of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Dr. Shroffs Charity Eye Hospital, New Delhi, explains the refractive error and the causes of refractive error. She discusses that the refractive error means the child has to wear glasses to see clearly. Dr. Suma will also discuss the different types of refractive errors which are myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. She will further explain which types of glasses are given to the child in these three conditions. The main cause for refractive errors is hereditary. The other most common cause use is increase use of mobiles, computers, tablets, etc.
