She talks about two kinds of pathology seen in the ear: Simple perforation of the ear drum, Bones of the ear is diseased. In simple perforation of the ear drum, tympanoplasty – a surgical procedure is done. She will explain about tympanoplasty. In the diseased bones of the ear, it also needs surgical intervention with grafting of tympanic membrane. This is a serious disease as it might lead to irreversible hearing loss.
