What is the cut out limit for intima media thickness?

Intima media thickness is the anatomical part whereas endothelial dysfunction is a physiological process. If intima media thickness is above 8 mm then it is related to hardening of the arteries and requires treatment. Approximately above 7 -8 mm thickness is considered to be pathological.
