What do we mean by fasting blood glucose test?

In this video, Dr. Suman Kirti, Endocrinologist, Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi will explain What do we mean by fasting blood glucose test. The patient needs to fast for minimum 8 hours and no calorie intake in the past 8 hours before the fasting blood glucose test. This is an important test done for diabetic patients. The fasting period is a must for this test or else the reports are incorrect.
