Rice, potatoes, sugar, etc. are sweet in taste and they nourish the body. Sour food increases the acidity. Salty food is high in sodium and potassium. Astringent food are rajma and radish. Pungent food are chillies, black pepper, etc. Bitter foods are bitter gourd, neem etc.
