Which ACE inhibitor is the best in diabetes?
In this video, Dr. Suman Kirti, Endocrinologist, Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi talks about two large trials ramipril and perindopril have shown that they are the best ACE inhibitors compared to any other ACE inhibitors available. Dr. Suman also informs that these two drugs are the maximum used drugs. Perindopril is very expensive as compared to ramipril. Therefore, in India doctors mostly prescribe ramipril as it is cost-effective. Also ramipril is as good as perindopril and is the preferred choice among ACE inhibitors.
