What is a metabolic syndrome?

In this video, Dr. Suman Kirti, Endocrinologist, Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi will discuss about metabolic syndrome. She will explain what is metabolic syndrome The metabolic syndrome consists of obesity, dyslipidemia in which the triglycerides are equal to 150 mg/dl or more and the HDL is less than or equal to 40 mg/dl, presence of hypertension and impaired fasting blood glucose levels equal to or more than 100 mg/dl. Dr. Suman will highlight that any two of these mentioned factors along with obesity will contribute to metabolic syndrome.
