In this video, Dr. K K Aggarwal, Padma Shri Awardee, Editor-in-chief IJCP Publications, will talk on whether there is any formula to treat dengue fever. Dr. Aggarwal states that there is a formula of 20 which is created by him to differentiate between a simple and severe dengue. He will also explain the formula of 20 in details. After confirming the hematological and biochemical findings by the formula of 20, it shows capillary leakage and signs of severe dengue. Dr. Aggarwal further talks on when dengue is confirmed, immediately give the patient any fluids such as lemon water with salt and sugar or ORS water, etc. Give the patient 20ml/ kg of body weight and then reduce it to 10ml/kg of body weight. Continue giving the fluids till the patient passes urine and make sure that the patient passes urine every few hours for the next 48 hours.
