There are certain legal aspects in IVF mainly through the consent procedure for any surgery such as the ovum pickup. Also, the consent for anesthesia or any procedure we are offering to the couple such as hysteroscopy or laparoscopy. She further discusses that the consent should be taken for IVF regarding the person’s egg and ovum are to be fertilized, whether it is their own or donor or through surrogacy. All these have to be documented and duly signed by the respective couples.

Done her membership from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG), London. Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS). Writes articles & columns for international journals, scientific publications, presentations and IVF website. Has received many renowned national awards, including IMA award in IVF in 2007 and Bharat Jyoti Award in 2008, for outstanding contribution in medicine.
