Dr. Mala Dharmalingam is a senior endocrinologist working as Sr. Professor and Head Department of Endocrinology at Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru, South India. She is a DM teacher for the last 13 years. She has over 130 publications in peer reviewed journals both national and international. She is an active researcher with more than 150 trials (GCP). She has done many academic trials. Presently she is working on the indigenous artificial pancreas along with Indian Institute of science. Dr. Mala has received more than 13 orations including the prestigious PN Shah Oration, MMS Ahuja oration from the Endocrine Society of India and J S Bajaj oration from National Academy of Medical Sciences. She has also received many awards including the BC Roy award, academic excellence award from the MGR University and Economic Times award for the most inspiring doctor. She was Vice President of Endocrine society in 2011. She was also President for the Karnataka chapter of RSSDI in 2003.
