Mefenamic acid is an anti-inflammatory drug which is used for short-term relief of pain. Because of its anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties, it has been repurposed for the treatment of Covid-19, characterised by hyperinflammatory response. In addition, mefenamic acid may have some antiviral action also.
