ABOUT THIS SESSION

Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the cervix, the lower part of the uterus. It is primarily caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, with risk factors including smoking, weakened immune system, and early sexual activity. Regular screenings, such as Pap tests and HPV tests, aid in early detection and prevention, while vaccination against HPV offers additional protection against cervical cancer.
