She is credited for starting therapeutic endoscopic work in new borns & young infants, set up India's first department of paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology & liver transplantation. A prolific writer & academician, Dr. Mohan established India's first yearly fellowships in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology & liver transplantation, certified by the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (2008), two year fellowship (FNB) in Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology Certified by IAP (2012).
