She is credited for starting therapeutic endoscopic work in new borns & young infants, set up India's first department of paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology & liver transplantation. In hectic schedule, she takes out time for social services. Also, she has received awards like Zee Swasth Bharat Samman Award & DMA Centenary Award.
