Dr. Achal Gulati, after graduating from the University of Delhi, did his post graduation from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh. After working at the Maulana Azad Medical College for 30 years, the Government entrusted him with the responsibility of establishing the Dr BSA Medical College, New Delhi where he is currently the Director Principal and Director-Professor of ENT. A fellow of the International Medical Science Academy, he has all-round varied interests ranging from professional excellence in the field of Head and Neck Surgery and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery to the field of Medical education. He is the recipient of numerous orations and awards, including the "National Eminent Teacher of Excellence Award" by the Government of India, the "State Award for Contribution to the Field of Medicine", "The Great Teaching Master Award", "Times Research Media Excellence Award in Healthcare", is an invited faculty member at various National and International training workshops, has been a member of the Post graduate committee of the Medical Council of India, the Board of Research Studies of various universities, the Specialty Board for ENT and Ethics Committee in the National Board, is an advisor to the Centre on Noise Pollution, has been on numerous committees on curriculum planning for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and is on the editorial board of National and International journals.A member of various professional academic bodies, he has been the President and Secretary of the AOI (Delhi State), the Honorary Secretary of the All India Rhinology Society, Governing Body member of the AOI, on the Board of Governors of the Indian Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, and is currently the President of the All India Rhinology Society.
