He is Deputy Commissioner Maternal health at Ministry of Health & Family Welfare India, GOI, MBBS, MBA. Dr. Dinesh Baswal is currently working as deputy commissioner in charge of maternal health division in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India. He has done MBBS from MAMC, New Delhi in 1983 and done his MBA from Faculty Management Studies, New Delhi in 1995. Previously he was working as Assistant commissioner (Training Division) Technical support to the Ministry of health and Family Welfare in national level policy on training of human resource in health (Reproductive and Child Health and NRHM) and ASHA Programs. Currently he is providing technical support to the Ministry of health and family welfare in national level policy decisions on maternal health programme from last 4 years. He is a member of various national expert groups for maternal health and training initiatives and programmes. He has published various national guidelines related with maternal health. He is also supervising and coordinating with apex technical support agencies for MoHFW, Government of India.
