The etiology of a persistent cough is not always easy to determine. During the current pandemic, a dry cough, which is a symptom of COVID-19 may be a concern for some people. SARS-CoV-2 is a new coronavirus that causes sickness of the same name. Diagnostic protocols for chronic cough have required the use of specialist investigations which are not always easily available. Recent guidelines have attempted to provide direction in the clinical management.

He has been awarded about 67 awards till date including Vigyan Gaurav Award (the highest Award of UP in the field of Science) by Chief Minister UP and 1st UP Doordarshan Award by Governor UP.
