Dr. Deedwania serves as Chief of the Cardiology Division for the Veterans Administration Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS)/UCSF Program in Fresno. Dr. Deedwania serves as Director of Cardiovascular Research for the UCSF Fresno Central San Joaquin Valley Medical Education Program and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University in Palo Alto. Dr. Deedwania serves as a Member of Medical Advisory Board at Atherotech, Inc. Dr. Deedwania is one of the most recognizable figures in the fields of hypertension, heart failure, lipid disorders, ischemic heart disease, rhythm disorders and preventive cardiology. Dr. Deedwania is a fellow of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Clinicians, American College of Clinicians, a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American Federation of Clinical Research, the Council on Silent Myocardial Ischemia and Infarction, the International Society of Ambulatory Science and the New York Trudeau Society. He has served as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Laennec Society of the American Heart Association. He serves as the President of the California Chapter of the American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Deedwania also serves on the editorial boards of numerous journals. He is an Associate Editor of the Annals of Non invasive Cardiology and Senior Editor of Congestive Heart Failure. Dr. Deedwania has authored numerous landmark clinical trials and has authored or coauthored more than 350 publications, including journal articles, book chapters and abstracts.
