Dr. Mehra is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and serves as Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center and Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Heart Disease at Brigham Health in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, he is Editor-in-Chief, The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation. Prior to joining Brigham and Women’s Hospital in January 2012, Dr. Mehra served as the Dr. Herbert Berger Endowed Professor of Medicine, Head of Cardiology and Assistant Dean for Clinical Services at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He is an expert in Advanced Heart Failure with special expertise in mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation.
