He says that according to the current evidence available, the newer anticoagulants are restricted to be used in selective indications such as atrial fibrillation which is non-valvular. The advantage of newer anticoagulants are that they don’t need to be monitored regularly with prothrombin time and INR. Also, it saves time and regular monitoring costing. He will further talk about to create awareness among people about these drugs. Dr. Srivastava will also talk about the different new anticoagulants and which one is approved.
