"IBD-Epidemiology and Diagnosis" by Dr Shobna Bhatia And Dr Takanori Kanai

Dr. Shobna Bhatia is a Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. After completing her MD. Dr. Shobna Bhatia perused and successfully completed her DNB training in Gastroenterology at KEM, Mumbai University, 1990. She underwent an advanced fellowship training in Oesophageal Motility and pH at Philadelphia under one of the earliest innovators in motility. Dr. Shobna Bhatia was the recipient of Unichem Lectureship in Gastroenterology and Indian Society of Gastroenterology Olympus Mitra Award for Endoscopy. She has also been honoured with the NBE excellence award by the Honourable Vice President of India, Shri Venkahiah Naidu. More than 25 years of Global experience in the field of Gastroenterology, Currently, a Professor of Gastroenterology at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital.

Dr Takanori Kanai completed his MD and PhD at Keio Univerisity. He is currently a Professor and Chairman of medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His group aims to find new insights and therapeutic approaches in auto inflammatory and cancerous diseases in digestive organs, including inflammatory bowel diseases, colorectal cancer, and primary sclerosing cholangitis. he focuses his research on understanding host-microbe interaction that influences autoinflammatory diseases in the gut and beyond.
