These novel ESC/EAS Guidelines on lipids provide important new advice on patient management, which should enable more clinicians to efficiently and safely reduce CV risk through lipid modification. These guidelines has been developed for healthcare professionals to facilitate informed communication with individuals about their CV risk and the benefits of adopting and sustaining a healthy lifestyle, and of early modification of their lipid-related CV risk.

Dr. Nagaraj Desai is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with a special interest in coronary artery disease. Currently, he is designated Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiology at JSS Medical College and University, Mysore. Dr. Nagaraj Desai has been active in the field of medical education for over three decades. Dr. Desai has been involved in clinical research throughout his career and has participated in several regional, national and international studies including SAVOR, ARISTOTLE, etc and has been honored with Fellow status by the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology and the Indian College of Cardiology.
