Professor Rajiv Jalan is a leading consultant hepatologist with more than 30 years of experience. Professor Jalan has been a professor of hepatology at University College London since 2000 and has lead research on multiple areas of liver disease, and is at the forefront of research into liver failure. Recently Professor Jalan was part of a team who invented the DIALIVE - a new liver dialysis system being trialled at the Royal Free Hospital where he is a consultant hepatologist and head of the liver failure laboratory. He did is MBBS (Clinical Medicine) in 1986 and MD (Hepatology) from Edinburgh University in 1993-2000 and PhD (Medicine) from Maastricht University in 1998-2005.
