CSI Plans To Introduce Digital Assistance For Heart Patients

Medical professionals in India are gearing up to launch a new portal and app to help individuals gain access to information related to heart-related ailments. The app is expected to be released to the public by the end of August and will provide descriptions of heart problems, prevention advice, and tips to maintain and boost heart health.

The Cardiological Society of India (CSI) is launching a digital platform that will provide heart patients and their caregivers with answers to all their queries in their language with just one click. This platform will offer guidance on various heart conditions, providing invaluable assistance to those affected by such medical issues.

At the 4th National Conference on Heart Failure at SGPGIMS on Sunday, Dr. Vijay Bang announced, “A new medical app is set to launch by the end of August, offering users detailed information about heart health. The app will facilitate varied information about heart conditions, preventive measures and strategies, and a list of dos and don’ts for heart health.” Dr. Bang cited research showing that 64% of patients turn to the internet for health information when they experience acute symptoms and that 50% seek health information online after the first symptom before consulting a doctor. He also noted that some patients take medication or drugs based on pharmacists’ advice.
