What is diabetic retinopathy?

In this video, Dr. Manisha Agarwal, Vitreo-retina surgeon, Dr. Shroffs Charity Hospital, New Delhi, will talk on diabetic retinopathy in this video. The diabetic retinopathy is one of the commonly encountered retinal disease, secondary to long-standing diabetes for more than 10 years. Dr. Manisha will also talk on why is it important to check the retina of a diabetic person regularly. Any patient who finds for the first time he is diabetic, that time he should also get his retina checked. According to the eye or retina condition, the doctor will advise as to when the second retina check-up is required.
